ECO2 is an extension of Martin Mallon Architects, an established professional architectural practice based in County Meath providing architectural services and now also providing Building Energy Rating (BER) Certificates for Domestic (Residential) and Non Domestic (Commercial) buildings as required by current Irish Legislation.

ECO Design:
The best time to include energy efficiency measures is when a building is being designed and built. Maximum benefit for the least cost will be gained when energy efficiency is incorporated from beginning of process. Energy efficient design will provide increased comfort levels, reduced damage to the environment and can yield considerable savings in financial terms. While all buildings in Ireland are required by legislation to be designed and constructed with conservation of fuel and energy and minimum insulation standards to meet TGD Part L of Building Regulations it is now generally accepted that much higher standards are more desirable and achievable.
